The Instructor
Ken Harding has been a martial arts teacher in St. Louis for 35 years, and has taught over a thousand students. Having trained in Japan, he holds a high level black belt in Japanese martial arts, and is very familiar with long weapons, short weapons and empty-handed combat. He has invested well over 40,000 hours to the study and perfection of combative arts. |
Since 2010 he left Japanese martial arts behind, and shifted his focus to Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA), and in particular the Bolognese Tradition. He is at the forefront of the effort to restore an ancient and forgotten combat system that deserves to live again.

He was one of the featured instructors at L' Arte Delle Armi, a three-day international workshop on Bolognese Martial Arts hosted by the Chicago Swordplay Guild in 2018: L’ARTE DELLE ARMI
He was also one of the headline instructors at Academy Duello's three-day international workshop celebrating the 500th Anniversary of the publication of Bolognese Martial Arts in 2022, held in Vacouver Canada.
